Situated on the outskirts of Gatehouse of Fleet on a working farm with an amazing view of the Solway Firth. The area is very peaceful and relaxing, with lots of rabbits and birds to keep you amused while you enjoy your morning cuppa. The lodge was well equipped, clean and comfortable and booking was easy using their website. Communication was good throughout and very informative and James responded quickly to any queries during our stay. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again

What a superb place!! From the minute you walk through the door you are blown away. Absolutely everything we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious living area. The shower is next level fabulous too!!
Views to just get lost in, dark skies at night. The wildlife is amazing - bring your binoculars for the Red Kites!! The local area is well worth exploring - people are friendly and welcoming.

Comfortable spacious lodges set on the hillside overlooking the most amazing view. From the booking process to the end of our stay information was readily available and although we didn’t meet our host he quickly responded to any communication. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to a return visit…!

We holiday in lodges regularly and this lodge and stay is up there with the best. The views are stunning, the wildlife amazing and the locals so friendly. The underfloor heating kept us really snug and cozy . The location is perfect for simply walking or providing easy access to beaches and local towns . Our dog ( Mr Brodie ) spent most of his time outside watching the bunnies , he had a great time too. Absolutely recommended 100% we will be back ! I’ve attached just a few of our photo memories . We did also see deer but didn’t have the camera handy ‘

“A beautiful luxury lodge with breathtaking views and everything you could possibly need. The beds were super comfortable, the setting was peaceful and scenic, and the host James was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help.
We also loved how dog‑friendly it was — Cooper, our little dog, had an amazing stay and settled in straight away. Highly recommended!”

We had a really comfortable stay at Silver Birch Lodge. The lodge was very spacious, well laid out, and clean and tidy when we arrived. It felt homely and well equipped, with plenty of room to relax, and was nice and quiet — a great base for our break. The weather wasn’t the best during our stay, but we still managed a few enjoyable local walks. We’d highly recommend The Masonic Arms pub — very pet friendly, lovely food, and extremely generous portion sizes. The Sunday carvery is especially good, but it gets very busy, so booking a table is definitely advised. We also enjoyed visiting The Angel Coffee Shop in town, another pet‑friendly place with great coffee and delicious scones.Overall, a lovely, relaxed stay in a great location, with excellent local places to eat and drink.

Stayed in Millers hill.
From start to finish it was prefect, we loved the peace and tranquility alongside the walks to Gatehouse via the old military road bypassing robbers gate.
We also enjoyed an afternoon watching the red kites gliding around in the air currents overlaid with stunning views to the rear of the property which capture vast distances on a clear day.
All mod cons and entertainment are provided whether listening to your favourite music or watching a movie to pass an evening.
Only two minor details that were missing which were oven gloves and matches for the log burner.
Looking forward to our return visit in the summer fingers crossed for some good weather.
