Millers Hill lodge is beautifully situated, of modern design, well equipped, clean, quiet, and perfectly located for local forest and beach walks. A hidden gem, ideal for those wanting to escape the hum drum of life, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

We recently enjoyed our third stay in 12 months at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges, so it is not difficult to ascertain that we are very pleased with the lodges and the location. The lodges themselves are well equipped and the views are fabulous. What is not to enjoy about watching deer, red kites and rabbits from your lodge, whilst having your morning coffee? Not to mention the sun rises, sun sets and the stars at night…
James is a great host and even though I have not met him in person, we have had plenty of text chats where he has offered help and advice about places to go, things to see and walks to do in the area. On our most recent visit we arrived to find that there was a problem with a broken toilet seat. This was swiftly fixed and a new toilet seat in place within an hour of our arriving, with James contacting me the next day to apologise for the inconvenience. These things happen – the important thing is when they are fixed promptly and professionally, which this was.
The lodges are very comfortable, clean and close enough to Gatehouse that you can walk if you want to. James is on hand for help and advice and D&G itself is a beautiful part of the world. We are already looking forward to our next visit…

A beautiful place to stay. The view is wonderful- spectacular sunsets and a mesmerising seascape. The lodge is warm and inviting - modern, clean lines with lovely, comfortable furnishings - very stylish. A log fire and very powerful showers makes for a perfect stay.

A beautiful place to stay - Miller's Hill is spacious; equipped to a very high standard; stylish and comfortable. The view is wonderful and the sunsets amazing. The log burner offered us a lovely warm welcome after a super walk through Cally Woods. We hope to return soon.

This is our second visit to Silver Birch lodge. Another amazing stay, weather was great so out and about loads. Our wee dog Eddie loved it. Again recommended to family and friends and we will be back in the new year

Had the most amazing stay at the Silver Birch lodge, not only was i lucky to find a cat friendly lodge but a luxury one with a spectacular view and very comfortable beds! My daughter had a ball as well, excited at seeing rabbits outside the window every day. I love the area as well, Mossyard beach was a highlight. Will be back very soon!

Its a stunning lodge views to die for. Every thing you need in the lodge. Beautiful big bedrooms and very comfortable. James the owner so helpful. Lots of lovely walks. Stunning beaches and great towns.

Our second visit this year - just the best!!
Open the door and the views greet you - big open living space, with literally everything you would need. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms - the master with the same views.
Everything is spotless, well designed and comfortable.
Really convenient to explore the local area. The local wildlife is fascinating - owls deer, badger, red kites, stoats, rabbits and a variety of birds.
James is a great host, really responsive and helpful.

We have just returned from a fabulous one week stay, with our dog Watson, in Millers Hill lodge. The lodge is really well equipped, furnished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and has amazing views over the Fleet to Moss Yard beach. We are already looking forward to returning next year.

Fantastic lodge set approx 2 miles outside Gatehouse of Fleet. Loads of walks right from the door and plenty of eateries etc in the town itself.
The lodge was immaculately clean, very comfortable and extremely well equipped. The views are stunning. We will be back!

Lovely comfortable lodge with amazing views. So much to do in the area we had a great holiday.

Fabulous lodge with a drop dead view! The lodge has everything you need and more. Beds are comfortable and the lodge was very clean. Parking is good and road up though narrow is in good condition. There’s plenty of wildlife to be seen from the window and it’s a tranquil setting. Gatehouse of Fleet is walkable with a few coffee shops and restaurants, and very friendly locals. Beaches are close by , there’s plenty to keep you busy if you want, or just sit and take in the view!

We stayed in Ocean Drive over the Easter weekend with our cat, Milo. It was incredible. So spacious and clean and with all the amenities we needed for a weekend of relaxing, eating and drinking.
Milo enjoyed chilling in front of the patio doors. They were great to watch the storm from with a drink.
James is a great, helpful host.

We had an amazing stay in Ocean Drive at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges. The lodge was very comfortable, very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay easy. The views from the lodge were captivating and we enjoyed watching the tide come in at Fleet Bay. We visited and swam at Sandgreen, Mossyard, Carrick & Brighouse. Sometimes in the evening depending on tide times. All of them felt safe enough for our granddaughter to swim too. Gatehouse of Fleet is a lovely village. Highly recommend the Ship Inn and the Iron Brew cafe. I'm sure we will be back.

Feel so lucky to have found these properties. We've been holidaying in and around Gatehouse Of Fleet for almost 20 years but this is our first stay here. Silver Birch was perfect for us. The kitchen is well equipped. Great Wi-fi. Loved the Sonos sound system. Quality TV. Showers are great. Bed was extremely comfy. Easy walk down the hill and through Cally Woods into town from the door.
Saw foxes and stoats from the huge windows. The view is absolutely stunning. Over the fields and down to the sea.
Perfect location. We WILL be back. This is our new favourite.

What a fantastic week we’ve had at Gatehouse of Fleet Luxury Lodges! 🌿🐇🦅
We had the most relaxing stay, and both we and the dogs absolutely loved it. There was so much wildlife to watch, with rabbits everywhere, but the highlight had to be seeing the magnificent red kite soaring overhead – such a special sight!
The lodge itself was amazing, spotlessly clean and fully equipped with absolutely everything we could possibly need. It was clear that every little detail had been thought of, making it feel like a real home from home.
A special thank you to James, who was so welcoming and accommodating throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and he made our holiday such a pleasant and memorable experience.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gatehouse of Fleet Luxury Lodges to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in beautiful surroundings. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Absolutely fabulous.

Our 2nd stay at Cairn Dyke. A fantastic location; stunning views of the estuary and beyond. We enjoyed our stay. A few minor, hopefully constructive observations. Given the Luxury title, the fabric on the seats in the dining area are quite stained and there were dubious stains in the shower room, behind the door. The coasters on the coffee table needed a good clean as did the plastic table cloth - the washer control panel needs attention, as well; attention to detail makes such a difference! Perhaps on a more serious note, the property is marketed as no dogs, but we did find some pet hairs on the settee and upon reading the visitors book it alludes to both cats and dogs staying; not exactly reassuring (and potentially dangerous) especially if a guest has a pet allergy.

One of the nicest lodges we have stayed in, so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was beyond comfortable! Everything we needed was there and more. Thank you we will be back.

Beautiful cottage, built and kept to a very luxurious standard. Impeccably clean and very well equipped.
The area is fantastic for anyone loving the outdoors.

If I could give ten stars I would.
The lodge was outstanding in terms of comfort, design and cleanliness but the location is simply stunning. The views out of the large glass wall never got tiring. It was lovely to see birds and wild rabbits every day, we were also lucky enough to be visited by a hare.
We didn’t want to leave but have compensated by booking a return visit later in the year.

Situated on the outskirts of Gatehouse of Fleet on a working farm with an amazing view of the Solway Firth. The area is very peaceful and relaxing, with lots of rabbits and birds to keep you amused while you enjoy your morning cuppa. The lodge was well equipped, clean and comfortable and booking was easy using their website. Communication was good throughout and very informative and James responded quickly to any queries during our stay. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again

What a superb place!! From the minute you walk through the door you are blown away. Absolutely everything we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows. Spacious living area. The shower is next level fabulous too!!
Views to just get lost in, dark skies at night. The wildlife is amazing - bring your binoculars for the Red Kites!! The local area is well worth exploring - people are friendly and welcoming.

Comfortable spacious lodges set on the hillside overlooking the most amazing view. From the booking process to the end of our stay information was readily available and although we didn’t meet our host he quickly responded to any communication. We absolutely loved our stay and look forward to a return visit…!

We holiday in lodges regularly and this lodge and stay is up there with the best. The views are stunning, the wildlife amazing and the locals so friendly. The underfloor heating kept us really snug and cozy . The location is perfect for simply walking or providing easy access to beaches and local towns . Our dog ( Mr Brodie ) spent most of his time outside watching the bunnies , he had a great time too. Absolutely recommended 100% we will be back ! I’ve attached just a few of our photo memories .
