Welcome to Cairn Dyke, a charming 3-bedroom lodge in Dumfries & Galloway, offering a cozy log burner and stunning countryside views. Perfect for families or groups seeking a relaxing retreat surrounded by nature.

Cairn Dyke is a pet-free property, beautifully designed on a single-story layout to provide easy access and comfort. This is the fourth lodge we’ve built, and as always, we’ve well-equipped it with everything you’ll need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday in Dumfries and Galloway.

Cairn Dyke sleeps six guests across three spacious bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is a twin room, which can be converted into a super king on request. The second bedroom features a super king-size bed, while the master bedroom offers a super king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom. The lodge also includes two modern showers and one luxurious bath, offering immaculate facilities for your stay.

The lodge boasts stunning views of the hills and coast, with picturesque surroundings and just a short drive to the local beaches. It’s the perfect quiet retreat for a peaceful holiday immersed in nature.

Entertaining is made easy in our lodges as they all have inbuilt sound systems (SONOS) and smart TVs and of course free super fast Starlink WiFi to browse all your Netflix favourites! . To add to the cozy atmosphere, the lodge also features a fantastic wood-burning stove, perfect for those relaxing evenings.

Step outside through the glass doors and onto the decking area to breathe in the fresh country air! The decking includes a picnic table and a handmade BBQ, ideal for outdoor dining while enjoying the scenic surroundings.

For longer stays, Cairn Dyke offers a large fridge freezer to store all your food. And if you don’t feel like cooking, the lodge is within easy walking distance of local restaurants and pubs. We highly recommend The Galloway Lodge for breakfast or lunch, and The Masonic Arms in Gatehouse for great food and pints.

				We stayed at Cairn Dyke Luxury Lodge for the weekend to celebrate a 50th birthday, and it was the perfect place to do just that! The lodge was outstanding — beautifully presented, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. The views were absolutely fabulous, and it was such a peaceful and relaxing setting to catch up with friends.



The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy meals together. On the Saturday, we booked a taxi into Gatehouse of Fleet — the service was great both ways (we’ve left the taxi number in the visitors book for future guests!). I unfortunately left an item behind, but the hosts were incredibly quick to respond and had it posted back to me straight away — such thoughtful service!



The beds were super comfortable, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming feel. I honestly couldn’t fault this lodge — it was clean, quiet, and full of lovely extra touches that made our stay really special. We’d love to come back again — highly recommend!

				We had a fantastic week at Cairn Dyke luxury lodge- so comfortable & peaceful. The lodge was extremely spacious for 4, really well equipped & offered the most stunning views towards the Solway Firth.  We had 16 red kites flying about outside our lodge one day, deer, linnets, buzzards, bunnies - a wildlife lovers dream 🙂 We enjoyed swims at Mossyard & Sandgreen beaches, a day at the MTB trails at Kirroughtree and lots of beautiful walks in the area. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside at the Mill on the Fleet Cafe in Gatehouse of Fleet where we spotted the kingfisher.  This is our first visit to this lodge & to this area - we will definitely be back! Thanks to James & team for a memorable week.

				We stayed in Cairn Dyke, the last in the row of lodges.  The three-bedroom lodge was roomy, light and airy.  The big windows with the view across to the bay was fantastic and it was peaceful.  We also enjoyed having a bird feeder and watching a woodpecker and tree creeper.  Red kites flew over regularly.  The lodge was comfortable and clean and we enjoyed having two sofas for lounging.  The showers were excellent and the beds and pillows were comfortable.

				Cairn Dyke is an absolutely stunning lodge in a beautiful rural location. The property was immaculately clean and we received a lovely welcome gift. Lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need for a break away and beautifully decorated throughout . Views from the living area are spectacular especially on crisp sunny mornings. The wood stove enhances the cosiness of the lounge at night . You could almost touch the stars out back at night . Would highly recommend a stay here and will definitely be back . Donald was extremely helpful highlighting local eateries and beaches to visit . Castle Douglas is nearby and a trip to The Gather nearby too is a must for a meal or a lunch. We had glorious winter sunshine and a day at Carrick beach a few miles from lodge was a great treat for us and our young son. It was a perfect tranquil break in a truly outstanding luxury lodge in a beautiful location.

				We have just come back from a wonderful 4 day break, staying in the Cairn Dyke lodge.  The lodge has been built to a high standard with so much space, it's fantastic.  When we have stayed in self-catering accommodation in the past, you sometimes feel a bit claustrophobic, not here, everyone could relax.



The views from the lodges are amazing and you instantly relax the moment you sit down and take it all in.  Everything we required for our stay, was available in the lodge.



Gatehouse is a lovely area, we enjoyed some fabulous walks and the Galloway Lodge and the Masonic Arms were great places to eat.
