A Lodge That Welcomes Cats Too
Ocean Drive is the one lodge on the site where your cat is as welcome as you are
I grew up on a farm not far from here, and spent a fair amount of my childhood trying to convince the farm cats they’d rather live indoors. My parents were remarkably tolerant about it. That soft spot for cats followed me into building the lodges, and it’s why Ocean Drive was designed to work for cat owners rather than just permit them.
Most self-catering places that call themselves pet-friendly mean dogs. Cats are usually an afterthought, if they’re allowed at all. Ocean Drive is the exception
Ocean Drive
Ocean Drive is our three-bedroom lodge, sleeping six, with the same panoramic views over the Solway Firth as the rest of the site. The living area has a large glass wall your cat can spend hours at, and the decking area outside gives them somewhere to sit without going far. It’s a quiet setting generally, which suits most cats better than somewhere busier would.
Ocean Drive is dog-friendly as well as cat-friendly, so if you’re travelling with both, or your cat is used to dogs being around, this is the lodge for you.

Good to know
Ocean Drive is currently the only one of our five lodges that accepts cats. If you’re looking at Silver Birch, Millers Hill, Seascape or Cairn Dyke, those aren’t set up for cats.
We don’t provide a litter tray, bed, or bowls, so please bring your own.
The lodges aren’t fully enclosed, so cats used to going outdoors should be kept inside or supervised during your stay.
Refundable Cat Deposit
We want every guest (human and feline!) to enjoy a spotless, comfy lodge. To help with this, we take a refundable £100 deposit per cat.
It’s returned in full within 3 days of your departure, as long as the lodge is left just as you found it – paws crossed, no mishaps!
