Welcome to Silver Birch, a luxury dog-friendly lodge in Dumfries & Galloway, offering stunning views over the Solway Firth. Perfect for couples, families, and pet owners seeking a peaceful retreat, this modern 2-bedroom lodge is designed for comfort and relaxation.

Sleeping 4 across two comfortable bedrooms, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenic surroundings. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with an ensuite, while the second bedroom can be set up as a twin or super king on request. Both lodges include two showers and a bath, ensuring a spacious and well-equipped experience.

Just like all our lodges, Silver Birch boasts incredible views of the hills and coast and is only a short drive to local beaches. Entertaining is easy with the in-built SONOS sound system, smart TVs, and free WiFi to stream your Netflix favourites. Step outside onto the decking area, equipped with a picnic table and handmade BBQ, and take in the fresh country air.

For longer stays, you’ll appreciate the large fridge freezer for storing your food, and if you’re not in the mood to cook, Silver Birch is within walking distance of local restaurants and pubs. We highly recommend The Galloway Lodge for breakfast or lunch, and The Masonic is great for food and drinks!

For those wanting to explore the Galloway hills, we offer a lockable bike store, and families are well-catered for with a highchair and baby cots provided.

				I can definitely recommend these lodges they are in a great location with incredible views over the bay. We stayed in the dog friendly two bedroom Silver Birch . They are furnished to a very high standard , very comfortable and spacious , spotlessly clean. You can even sit and watch the Red Kites soaring past from the sofa!

				We stayed in Silver Birch and had a wonderful week’s holiday. The views are amazing. The lodge was clean and well equipped. We loved the open plan living area.  The beds were so comfy and the bedrooms were very spacious. Would definitely return. The walk into Gatehouse of Fleet through Cally Woods was great and nice to be able to walk into town from the lodge. The Murray Arms was good for dinner and The Mill on the Fleet had the best cakes! Loved exploring Dumfries and Galloway and the people were so friendly.

				We had a wonderful time in Silver Birch lodge, the location is stunning as are the views.  We had everything we needed in the lodge and all the information provided was relevant to our stay.  It was a great base for exploring the area.

				We had a wonderful week at Silver Birch. The accommodation had wonderful views and it was peaceful. The lodge is brilliantly located and has everything you need. Lots of little touches, like walking maps, cleaning products, fully stocked kitchen with utensils etc. made it very comfortable. We didn't have any issues during our stay so didn't need to contact the host - they had thought of everything! Donald had been very helpful in my initial booking.

Area is beautiful and so easy to walk to Gatehouse of fleet.

The bed was too soft - but I guess this is personal preference!

				We stayed at Silver Birch in October and highly recommend this lodge. We had the best holiday here, everything was absolutely perfect. The lodge was immaculate with two spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything you could ever need for self catering was provided, the owners have thought of everything. The views from the lodge over the bay are unreal, we hope to see them again in Summer. Lodge is in a quiet location, we were never disturbed with any noise, it really is the most peaceful location.

We travelled with our young daughter and 2 dogs. The location was absolutely perfect, lots of great walks on your doorstep and 3 beautiful beaches all within a 15 min drive. Lots of great attractions nearby to keep kids occupied. We ate out a couple of times in Gatehouse and highly recommend Gather & No 1 Fleet Street @ The Ship Inn. We also travelled with our mother in law who has mobility issues. The lodge was perfect for her all on one level and very spacious. Owners were very helpful and even posted back an item we had left behind. We will most definately be back

				We stayed in Silver Birch which is light, bright and modern with the most amazing views towards the sea. The lodge is very well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. Quite clearly a lot of thought has gone into creating these holiday homes. The bed linen and especially the HUGE towels were of a very high quality and much appreciated!

We have a dog who loved the garden and surroundings and although not enclosed we felt he was very safe. He especially liked watching the sun go down from the decking!!

We would not hesitate but to recommend Gatehouse Luxury Lodges to anyone who loves beautiful scenery, woodland (especially Cally Woods which is just down the lane and easily accessible) walking, the coastline and a very relaxing holiday.

Thank you to James (the owner) for all of his help and advice prior to and during our stay and also Donald too.

The locals were all extremely friendly and helped to make our stay in Dumfries and Galloway very enjoyable!!

				Our whole experience of Gatehouse Luxury Lodges has been simply amazing! Silver Birch (the lodge we stayed in) was certainly luxury in every respect with amazing views of  Fleet Bay. There are some fantastic walks right from your doorstep. The walk into Gatehouse isn’t too far if you don’t fancy driving. There’s lots of stunning places to go but I think it’s fair to say you need to seek them out! Highlights for us were Balcary, Rockcliffe and Kippford, Isle of Whithorn, Galloway House in Garlieston, the Forest Drive through Galloway Forest, Glen Trool, Clatteringshaws Loch, Loch Ken as well as the impressive Cally Woods just down the road. The owner and the guy who looks after the property Donald) went out of their way to be helpful both prior and during our stay. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gatehouse Luxury Lodges. Ps: make sure you buy some fresh fish from the fish man on a Tuesday morning in Gatehouse!

				Just back from spending a lovely week relaxing in the Silver Birch Lodge. What a perfect place to simply chill out & unwind! The lodge itself was beautiful. Spotlessly clean & furnished to a high standard throughout. The wall to wall windows allowed us to spend hours looking at the amazing views across the bay, & we loved watching the hares & kites dropping by for a daily visit too. The location was also good for exploring with plenty of things to do close for just about all age groups.

The lodge is lovely and warm even without any heating on, so agree with J Russell that a lighter duvet with an optional throw during the summer months could be a good option, but this is just a personal preference and not a complaint by any means.

We will definitely look at returning, and can’t wait to see the new 3 bedroom lodges once complete.
