We were really impressed with the lodge and the views out are amazing, it’s such peaceful place.
We. Love the location and Gatehouse of Fleet.
We will certainly be back again next year.
I would highly recommend Gatehouse luxury lodges and thank you for a wonderful stay!Oh and as you can see our cat Theo had a fabulous holiday too😻
We recently stayed at the Ocean Drive lodge and had a fantastic time, both for us and our dog. The accommodation is extremely spacious and thoughtfully equipped, making it a perfect choice for families or groups. There are three generously sized bedrooms (one with an ensuite), and all the bedrooms have TVs, with one even featuring a PlayStation, which is a great touch.
The open-plan living room and kitchen area is truly the highlight of the home, it’s a stunning space with high ceilings and huge floor-to-ceiling windows that offer an incredible view of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen was particularly impressive; it had everything we needed and more.
Outside, the garden and surrounding views were so special. There’s a lovely bench and barbecue area, ideal for relaxing and soaking in the scenery. The location itself is peaceful and scenic, great for countryside walks and exploration.
The property is well located, with plenty of dog friendly beaches within driving distance.
There’s a lovely woodland walk nearby—Cally Wood. You can walk through the wood into the village where there is lots of dog friendly pups and cafes.
Overall, it was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we’d absolutely recommend it!
to witness some fantastic sunsets from the comfort of the lovely large living room.
Lodge was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Our dog had a ball with all the long walks and pub visits.
Although we live in southern Scotland (Scottish Borders) we’d never really contemplated D&G for a break, always heading to the Lakes instead. We will be back as we did not have time to visit all the places we‘d planned and the peace and quiet suited us all.
The lodge binoculars were well used throughout the week, spotting a variety of wildlife.
