To quote Mary Poppins, our stay has been “practically perfect in every way”. The lodge and environment are the perfect place to relax, refresh and rejuvenate. Beautiful walks in the local woods straight through into Gatehouse of Fleet. The dogs have given a score of 11/10 and we are unable to disagree.
A shout out for some of the local businesses and the fish from Kirkubright caught overnight was the best cod I have ever eaten.
Highly recommended.

We stayed at Ocean Drive, the property is absolutely faultless and the host could not be more customer friendly. We have booked again for 2027 during our time here. EV charging facility on site is very easy to use and lower cost than those in nearby towns.

We stayed in the Ocean Drive Lodge.
The lodge itself is beautifully designed — modern, spacious, and immaculately clean. The open-plan living area with the huge windows is a real highlight; waking up to those uninterrupted views over the bay and countryside was just incredible.
Everything inside the lodge felt high quality and well thought out. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the under-floor heating made it cosy no matter the weather. It felt like a real home from home, but with that extra touch of luxury.
We were especially impressed by how truly dog-friendly Ocean Drive Lodge is. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that dogs are genuinely welcome — not just allowed. There was plenty of space inside the lodge for our dog to relax comfortably, and the surrounding area is perfect for dog walks. The variety of nearby routes, stunning scenery, and peaceful setting made it an ideal place to bring our dog without any stress especially as she is incredibly anxious.
Overall, Ocean Drive Lodge exceeded our expectations. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning your return. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end, tranquil getaway with stunning views — especially if you’re bringing your dog along.

We had such a lovely stay at Miller's Hill lodge, it has a beautiful interior with stunning views! Very quiet and peaceful, but very close to Gatehouse. The lodge is really spacious but the bedrooms are super cosy. Would love to stay again!

Another great stay at Gatehouse this time in the newest lodge - Millers Hill.
The wet weather didn't spoil our enjoyment- always a warm comfortable place to come back to.
The wood burner was a real bonus.

Had an amazing break at Silver Birch lodge. The lodge is stunning 5 star accommodation. The view is gorgeous. Great hosts keeping us up to date on everything about our stay. Will definitely be back soon and will recommend to family & friend. Thank you for the lovely box of goodies

We had an amazing Christmas week in a stunning location. The lodge was spotless and cosy and we had everything that we needed. James was always on hand for any questions and queries. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We stayed in the Silver Birch dog-friendly lodge and absolutely loved it!
The super king bed was incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The lodge itself was spotlessly clean, cozy, and had everything you could possibly need. The kitchen was well-equipped with excellent appliances, which made cooking a breeze.
The views are exceptional—on a clear day, you can see the Isle of Man and stunning sea views right from the lodge. The location is perfect for exploring the area, yet it’s wonderfully peaceful and relaxing when you just want to unwind.
Highly recommend this lodge for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and breathtaking views.

I can definitely recommend these lodges they are in a great location with incredible views over the bay. We stayed in the dog friendly two bedroom Silver Birch . They are furnished to a very high standard , very comfortable and spacious , spotlessly clean. You can even sit and watch the Red Kites soaring past from the sofa!
Would definitely return.

We had a brilliant few days staying at Ocean Drive at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges. The location was great, the view from the lodge was breathtaking we enjoyed watching the Red Kites and other wildlife right on the doorstep. The lodge itself had everything that you could need for a break away and it was spotlessly clean and the fact that it was dog friendly was great. The local area boasts a wide range of restaurants and cafes and was great fun exploring. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the lodge and the area to anyone.

We stayed at Cairn Dyke Luxury Lodge for the weekend to celebrate a 50th birthday, and it was the perfect place to do just that! The lodge was outstanding — beautifully presented, spotless, and equipped with everything we needed. The views were absolutely fabulous, and it was such a peaceful and relaxing setting to catch up with friends.

The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy meals together. On the Saturday, we booked a taxi into Gatehouse of Fleet — the service was great both ways (we’ve left the taxi number in the visitors book for future guests!). I unfortunately left an item behind, but the hosts were incredibly quick to respond and had it posted back to me straight away — such thoughtful service!

The beds were super comfortable, and the whole place had a cozy, welcoming feel. I honestly couldn’t fault this lodge — it was clean, quiet, and full of lovely extra touches that made our stay really special. We’d love to come back again — highly recommend!

We stayed in Silver Birch and had a wonderful week’s holiday. The views are amazing. The lodge was clean and well equipped. We loved the open plan living area. The beds were so comfy and the bedrooms were very spacious. Would definitely return. The walk into Gatehouse of Fleet through Cally Woods was great and nice to be able to walk into town from the lodge. The Murray Arms was good for dinner and The Mill on the Fleet had the best cakes! Loved exploring Dumfries and Galloway and the people were so friendly.

This is our second visit to stay in the Galloway lodges. We stayed in Ocean Drive.
We were really impressed with the lodge and the views out are amazing, it’s such peaceful place.

We really enjoyed our stay in the lodge. It's near perfect for a break and has everything (and more) that we needed. Restful, comfortable and quiet with spectacular views.
Will definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges, firstly in Seascape 2 bed room and this year in Cairn Dyke 3 bedroom. The facilities and views are fantastic. The location is ideal for touring around Dumfries and Galloway but there’s lots to do closer to the lodges if you want to chill. We are an adults only party with one elderly parent who has mobility issues. Single level living, no steps into shower and plenty of space to move around with a walking aid were essential for us and these lodges met these needs.

We had a fantastic week at Cairn Dyke luxury lodge- so comfortable & peaceful. The lodge was extremely spacious for 4, really well equipped & offered the most stunning views towards the Solway Firth. We had 16 red kites flying about outside our lodge one day, deer, linnets, buzzards, bunnies - a wildlife lovers dream 🙂 We enjoyed swims at Mossyard & Sandgreen beaches, a day at the MTB trails at Kirroughtree and lots of beautiful walks in the area. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside at the Mill on the Fleet Cafe in Gatehouse of Fleet where we spotted the kingfisher. This is our first visit to this lodge & to this area - we will definitely be back! Thanks to James & team for a memorable week.

Have visited Gatehouse of Fleet for the last 40 + years and this was perfect. Beautiful view, peaceful environment and lovely accommodation. We enjoyed it so much we are going back next month for some more!

Seascape, at Gatehouse Luxury Lodges is in an idyllic spot, with high end finishes, offering all of your home comforts and more. It provided us with a much needed safe haven, and respite from our busy lives.

The lodges are beautifully located just outside Gatehouse of Fleet, and offer a great base for exploring the breathtaking countryside, coastal towns and forests.

The view through the panoramic window on arrival was breathtaking. Views of the farm, Fleet Bay and the Solway Coast are framed like an artist's masterpiece. It's the kind of view that makes you want to stay forever, and sets the scene for the explorations to come.

The operation itself is efficient, with digital welcome packs, (some update may be required here as a few things were out of date) key safe entry and all of the operating instructions for the property. Donald is very helpful and available should the need arise.

It is apparent that a lot time, thought and love has gone into the design of the lodges, with much consideration given to accessibility - this is rare, and was one of the things that influenced our choice when booking and ultimately made our stay so much easier and more enjoyable. James very kindly purchased a shower seat for my daughter which was very much appreciated.

The accommodation is beautifully presented, spacious and comfortable, and has everything you need.

Seascape has very good accessibility overall allowing for a high level of independence for my daughter which made a huge difference to her.

A tiny note - the bathroom (by the front door with accessible shower) as a wheelchair user, accessing the bathroom and closing the door whilst navigating the bathroom cabinet may take a little practice, as the space is a little tight, but my daughter got the hang of it.

Some assistance will be needed to navigate the trim of the french doors to access the decking from inside the property, but once outside the decking offers a lovely space to sit and take in the stunning views.

The icing on the cake would have been to have more accessibility outside the property, to enable a little more independence to explore, get in and out of the car, and be able to access the garden independently. The path from the front of the property is not wide enough for a wheelchair chair, but you can access the garden via the lawn to the left or right of the property instead, but there is a step up to the decking from this direction.

I would definitely recommend bringing a robust power assist of some description, if you're intending to go on walks. We did manage to find a few wheelchair accessible routes a short car drive away, which would be a good inclusion for the welcome pack.

It was quite easily the most relaxed and enjoyable holiday we have had in a long time, and I would not hesitate to return to enjoy the breathtaking dark skies and have an opportunity to visit the beautiful countryside and walk along Mossyard beach.

We had a fabulous stay at Ocean Drive (lodge for 6). The lodge was of the highest standard and absolutely stunning views from the garden and living area. So spacious and beautifully furnished. Situated just outside Gatehouse of Fleet which is a very picturesque town with excellent coffee shops and great restaurants for dinner.
I would highly recommend Gatehouse luxury lodges and thank you for a wonderful stay!Oh and as you can see our cat Theo had a fabulous holiday too😻

We had an amazing family break at Seascape Lodge.
The view from our lodge was stunning and the lodge definitely had a luxury feel. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed.
There were plenty of things to do within a 20-30 minute drive- beaches, woodland walks, galleries, cafes, distilleries, gardens etc.
At the end of our stay, my son left his jacket behind. The owner, James, very kindly arranged for it to be posted back to us.

We had a woderful time and the place was spotless. Everything we needed was there and the views are amazing as they change with daylight, the weather, and of course the tides, as youlook out onto the Solway.
There was a family of rabbits outside each morning and evening under the pation area. We even saw deer in the upper field.
We were quite close to Gatehouse town when we wanted to go shopping or just admiring the all whtewashed properties along the main street. We managed to visit the hostelries for our meal on some evenings.
We certainly want to stay again, and there are places later in the year. Not much time left to get our names down for an Autumn visit, before ti's too late !!!

A idyllic stay in Seascape lodge, the lodge has a stylish look inside and out complete with everything you need for your stay.
What did stand out was its cleanliness, the view as far as the sea is breathtaking.
Watching a variety of birds feed on the fastballs in the day was a joy! Go ahead and book!

We had a lovely short stay here with friends and their dog. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. Good sleep at night on comfortable beds.
Views are quite splendid and mesmerising particularly the sunsets over the bay.
This is our third visit to the lodges and it won't be the last one.
